1960's Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania Bicentennial Banner

Check out this sweet vintage banner that was manufactured in 1962 in celebration of the 200 year anniversary of the founding of the small borough of Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania! Founded way back in 1762 by John Womelsdorf, around 2,800 people currently reside in Womelsdorf. There are two metal grommets on the top corners which will make hanging a cinch! Perfect for displaying!

Navy blue in color, the banner is adorned with a large crest with the Latin "Amor Patriae Ducit" which translates to "Love of country leads me" along the top. Inside the banner are two large crossed swords in addition to an image of a carriage, a church, an open book and two hands holding a cylinder shaped object. Beneath the crest is "1762 Womelsdorf - Pennsylvania 1962." The yellow print has begun to crack nicely with age, adding to the banner's wonderful vintage look. What a great piece of history!
