Late 1800's Crosier-Stauffer Biscuit Box - Philadelphia, PA

Check out this wonderfully weathered late 1800's Crosier-Stauffer wooden dovetailed biscuit box! Back in the day it would have been common to see boxes like these used in grocery stores and markets to display the biscuits for sale. This amazing wooden box still has its original label on the underside of the lid. The label is nicely weathered and is adorned with nice and bright blue and red colors. Text on label reads "Crosier-Stauffer Co. Finest Biscuits. ...delphia. Square Sugar."

Wooden lid is still attached firmly and opens and closes nicely. This box would be a perfect display piece for those who enjoy antique, rustic decor and is also large enough for storing items! We apologize in advance but this box does not come with the original biscuits because ...well...that would be gross.

Measurements (L x W x H): 21” x 13.75” x 10.5”

Weight: ~ 6.75 lbs

Item Condition - Wonderful antique condition! Wood box has a nicely weathered patina (small scratches, scuffing, soilage, light deterioration of wood, pencil markings on lid, etc). Inside of crate is lightly soiled and may require cleaning if you're not into the "dirty" look. All wooden planks remain nice and sturdy. As noted the label has worn away in some areas, yet still remains firmly attached. Wooden lid opens and closes nicely, with its hinges being nicely rusted. A few nails are a little loose. Dovetail slots are nice and tight. Please refer to the pictures for further details.
